Goodbye 2011.

"For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice."

2011 is fast approaching to it's end and like always, I'd draft a blogpost in summary of the experiences and lessons i've taken from this year. I don't quite know how to do this as I haven't been blogging much as of late, haven't got much drive to do so but I'll do my best. This year saw me through a series of life-changing moments and also brought me out of my comfort zone and into something new. This year opened my eyes up to who has been there for me and made me appreciate those who never fail to show up when times were hard. In short, this year ended a tad too quickly and whizzed past way too fast. I wish i had more time to enjoy 2011 but alas, a new year of brand new endeavors await. I'm not quite certain if I am looking forward to it but well, bring it 2012. I'm (almost) all ready for you to appear. I just erased a whole chunk of words that I typed as I wasn't particularly satisfied with it, I'll try again.

Earlier this year, I graduated with a Diploma in Business Studies from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. It was a bittersweet affair, afterall I daresay poly days have been the best years in my life so far. I've got to know countless of people and gotten close to a number and kept in contact with a special couple of people who have taken top notch positions in my life. I took time off to go on a few holidays in Bangkok & Genting and even brought the Idare March 2011 Campers abroad to Pahang, where I had one of the best camps ever in my life... Party rock style. Through that, I also got even closer to 4 individuals who still play a huge part in my daily life up till today. Not to forget, the many others such as the ones i got close in poly with, the ones i went through classes with, the ones i got to know during camps, the ones who were there since STC days, the ones i got to know everywhere else but still remained close to.... So many faces, so many names, it's impossible to name them all but i hope they know who they are. 

Mid-year approached swiftly after the enjoyable months in the earlier months... It was almost time for a new transition in my life to take place and time was running out swiftly and thinking about the days left only made it harder to let go. I never had enough time to catch up with everyone but I had to make do with it. July came and I left on a new adventure. My Uni life begun in Perth, University of Western Australia. The initial stages were hard and sometimes, nights were rough. I admit I have never been one to be able to accept changes easily, especially when my heart had strings connected to people at home. But I sucked it up. I got to know many individuals who I got along really well with, whom are my friends now :) Took time to adjust to the new education system and i'd say, all's well :)

Returned back to this sunny island on the 25th of November and I've been soaking up the holidays ever since. LG, LIFE'S GOOD. I've also only just returned from my 2 weeks adventure in Newyork/Canada yesterday. I'll get about to uploading photos soon. Meanwhile, I really got to get ready to head out for dinner with the guys. So i kinda rushed through this post, my apologies! Gonna be meeting Haz, Steven and Joel for dinner before Acy and Fiona join us before the clock strikes midnight. Hehehe.

P.s. Many people have played a part in making 2011 such an unforgettable one, though it's memory is sadly... limited to just today and maybe tomorrow. I am very thankful to those who have been with me through the major hurdles this year and who have bothered to keep in touch despite my disappearance from the local community. Haha. It meant a lot especially in the transition period. Not to forget the few who have also been silently supporting me throughout, I'm grateful. And then there's Jerrold, who also made me happiest throughout 2011. I love you very much, if you're reading this. I look forward to more smooth-sailing times ahead with you :* Family, Friends, Boyfriend... I must have been blessed throughout this year. :) Thankyou 2011, Bring it 2012!!!
